Election of the Advisory Board for Migration and Integration

Advisory board election for migration and integration

Election of the Advisory Board for Migration and Integration on 10.11.: Submit candidacies by 23.09.

On November 10, 2024, the municipal advisory boards for migration and integration will be newly elected in Rhineland-Palatinate. All residents with a history of migration are also called upon to vote in the Donnersberg district. This applies to foreigners, naturalized citizens, late repatriates and their children from the age of 16.

The advisory boards for migration and integration advocate for the interests of people with a history of migration and immigration. They advise local authorities and political bodies on integration policy issues and help to ensure that the diverse perspectives and needs of people with a migration background are taken into account in political decisions.

Candidatures still possible until September 23, 6 p.m.

"Around 7,200 people with a foreign passport now live in the Donnersberg district. A wide range of support measures are needed to ensure the successful integration of new immigrants," say the members of the current advisory board for migration and integration in the Donnersberg district. It is important that the advisory board's "integration work is continued and that enough candidates stand for election to the advisory board for the new legislative period." All residents with and without a migration background are eligible to run for the advisory board. Nominations can be submitted until September 23, 6.00 pm. Anyone interested in standing as a candidate can contact the Donnersbergkreis district administration for further information, preferably by e-mail at wahlen@donnersberg.de. The district administration also provides information on the homepage under "Politics > Advisory Council for Migration and Integration".

You can also contact the state association of advisory boards for migration and integration (AGARP) (06131 638435 or agarp@agarp.de) with general questions about the election.
