Driver's License Applications:

The Donnersbergkreis district administration in
Kirchheimbolanden is responsible for issuing driving licenses and other permits.

However, the receipt of the applications as well as the delivery of the issued driver's licenses is also possible at the
Verbandsgemeindeverwaltung Göllheim, Bürgerbüro.

The processing fee for forwarding driving license applications is €6.50.

Only applications with complete documents will be accepted.
The personal appearance of the applicant and presentation of a valid identification document is mandatory.

Passport photos now available directly from the passport office in the Citizens' Office: changes to passport photo acceptance from July 2025

Special passport photo machines (PointID devices) from Bundesdruckerei were installed in the municipal administration on June 16, 2025.
These enable biometric photos to be captured directly and securely on site while meeting the highest security standards.
The introduction of the PointID devices eliminates the need for a separate trip to the photo service provider.

A fee of 6 euros is charged for having a passport photo taken at the Citizens' Office. If two identity documents are requested for the same person at the same time
(e.g. identity card and passport), the total fee is 6 euros.

Note: Printed photographs may only be accepted until June 30, 2025.
