Driver's License Applications:
The Donnersbergkreis district administration in
Kirchheimbolanden is responsible for issuing driving licenses and other permits.
However, the receipt of the applications as well as the delivery of the issued driver's licenses is also possible at the
Verbandsgemeindeverwaltung Göllheim, Bürgerbüro.
The processing fee for forwarding driving license applications is €6.50.
Only applications with complete documents will be accepted.
The personal appearance of the applicant and presentation of a valid identification document is mandatory.

As of 01.05.2025, printed passport photos can no longer be used to apply for ID cards and passports.
The municipality of Göllheim may only accept digital biometric passport photos.
To obtain a digital biometric passport photo, you must go to a photo service provider.
In future, the photo service providers will transfer the photos digitally to the authorities via the cloud. You will receive a QR code from the photo service provider as a printout.
As reported in the press, there will also be an option to take passport photos at the authorities. This system is called PointID from Bundesdruckerei.
In future, applications for official ID documents will be completely digital.
Unfortunately, this is not currently possible in the Göllheim municipality as the recording systems have not yet been delivered to us.
We will inform you as soon as it is possible to take passport photos for your applications for identity cards and passports at the citizens' office of the municipality of Göllheim.
