Niefernheim Bell Tower

Niefernheim Bell Tower

The newly renovated Niefernheim bell tower was officially opened during the Tower Festival on October 3, 2026. After decades of silence, a carillon consisting of 16 bells now rings out from the small tower, which was built in 1843.

The Niefernheimer Glockenturm e. V. Support Association made the renovation and restoration of this historic landmark possible through its great dedication. The project was supported by the LEADER funding program. The association covered a significant portion of the costs with its own funds. A film shown at the opening vividly illustrated just how much passion, solidarity, and collective effort went into the project.

The bell tower is thus not only a piece of local history, but also a fine example of what a dedicated community can achieve together. At the same time, it serves as a special attraction and asset for the entire Zellertal valley.

You can hear the carillon every day at 11:45 a.m. and 5:45 p.m.
