The office of the arbitrator and his deputy is open daily from 8.00 - 12.00 and on Mondays and Tuesdays from 14.00 - 16.00 and on Thursdays from 14.00 - 18.00 by telephone. There are no fixed office hours. If necessary, you can arrange a personal appointment.

Arbitration district is the entire area of the municipality of Göllheim.

The arbitrator is responsible for settling disputes in the following matters:
in disputes about claims arising from neighbourhood law matters, provided that they do not involve interference from a commercial enterprise, and in disputes about claims due to violations of personal honour which have not been committed in the press or on the radio.
In the above-mentioned matters, the filing of an action in court under the Land Arbitration Act is only permissible after an attempt has been made by a conciliation body (e.g. arbitration office) to settle the dispute amicably.

The activities of the arbitrator do not apply to

  1. Actions under sections 323, 324 and 328 of the Code of Civil Procedure, counterclaims and actions to be brought within a statutory or court-ordered time limit,
  2. Disputes in family matters,
  3. Retrial,
  4. Claims that are asserted in proceedings for a deed or bill of exchange,
  5. the conduct of the contentious proceedings if a claim has been made in the order for payment procedure,
  6. Actions for enforcement measures, in particular under Book 8 of the Code of Civil Procedure,
  7. applications under Section 404 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, and
  8. Actions for which mandatory preliminary proceedings are ordered under other statutory provisions.

The arbitrator shall also be competent to conduct an attempt at reconciliation in the criminal cases mentioned below:

  1. Trespassing
  2. Offense
  3. Infringement of the secrecy of correspondence
  4. Assault
  5. Threat and
  6. Property damage
