Service description
Citizens with an above-average level of volunteerism can apply for a statewide volunteer card. This allows them to take advantage of all the benefits offered by the state, the participating municipalities and private partners.
Requirements
- Volunteer at least 5 hours per week or 250 hours per year.
- Minimum age 14 years
- No payment; reimbursement for actual expenses incurred is allowed.
What are the fees?
There are no fees to pay.
What deadlines do I have to observe?
The honorary activity card is valid for two years and can then be applied for again.

The statewide volunteer card is a joint project of the state and the participating municipalities. The municipalities that are participating can be found on the website of the Volunteer and Citizen Participation Center www.wir-tun-was.de in the Volunteer section.
