    In almost all areas of application, there are diverse and economic possibilities for using the energy employed more efficiently. A qualified energy consulting is the first step to apply these possibilities systematically and rewardingly for your wallet in your private household or also business building.

    A statewide free initial energy consultation is available by appointment in over 70 locations through the Rhineland-Palatinate consumer center.

    Whether it's a new building, an existing property or a rental apartment. The consumer advice center answers questions about energy in the home: thermal insulation, heating systems, electricity or indoor climate.

    Experienced engineers and architects give you expert and neutral advice and free of charge thanks to federal and state funding

    Heating system, thermal insulation, windows, solar system? The consumer advice center looks at your individual housing & building situation and knows the legal regulations as well as all funding opportunities.

    Energy cost advice from the Rhineland-Palatinate consumer center

    People with rather low incomes who have high energy costs and payment worries can get help from the consumer advice center as part of its free energy cost advice service. In a multi-stage consultation, the causes of the high energy consumption are investigated and solutions are found together.

    The experts of the consumer center

    • check your accounts and contracts,
    • try to work with you to prevent or restore an energy cutoff and contact your utility to do so,
    • Determine what savings opportunities you have in your home or if there are other ways to reduce your energy costs,
    • consider what further steps might improve your situation in the long term,
    • refer people to other counseling centers, e.g. if there is a threat of debt.

    In the 45-minute personal conversation, all questions on the subject of energy can be addressed. The consultant provides information on energy-saving options for the house, gives tips on insulation and on adjusting the heating system. Likewise questions can be discussed e.g. to the heating cost account as well as helpful information for the use of solar energy.
