    Genealogy deals with the relationship of relatives. It is not an independent discipline, but belongs to the canon of historical auxiliary sciences.

    Genealogists can obtain information about their ancestors and descendants in a straight line. After expiry of the obligations to continue the civil status registers
    • Birth register 110 years
    • Marriage register 80 years
    • Death register 30 years
    anyone who demonstrates a legitimate interest has the right to inspect these civil status records, which are then considered public archival records, under certain conditions.

    Which documents are required should be asked at the registry office. The costs vary depending on the required documents and the necessary effort.
