    The heating costs are taken into account within the framework of the current benefits of the Basic Security for Job Seekers (SGB II - Hartz IV), the Assistance for Living (3rd chapter SGB XII) and the Basic Security for Old Age and Reduced Earning Capacity (4th chapter SGB XII).

    Benefits for self-procured fuel (e.g., coal, heating oil) may also be provided to other low-income persons who are not receiving current benefits.
