    The aim of village renewal is to support the sustainable and future-proof development of the village and to maintain and further develop the village as an independent living, working, social and cultural space. The preservation or. Strengthening the functional diversity of villages in economic, ecological, social and cultural terms is one of the main concerns of village renewal. The main tasks of village renewal include, in particular, structural improvement measures that also contribute to the stabilization and strengthening of village centers.

    Grants:

    You can receive grants for the following projects, for example:

    • Creation, maintenance and expansion of communal facilities appropriate to the village, such as multi-functional houses, rooms for communal and shared use as well as design adaptation to the townscape,
    • construction measures within the local area to maintain and create new workplaces close to residential areas, provided you are not eligible for economic development funds,
    • Investment projects to create needs-based public and civic facilities to promote local basic services, the village community and village culture, such as village stores, village cafés, etc,
    • Demolition of buildings in inner areas that are not worth preserving in order to overcome urban planning deficiencies and to create orderly urban development, including unsealing and disposal of the demolition materials produced in the process on the basis of a meaningful village renewal/development concept for inner development and revitalization of the village centers,
    • Creation, maintenance, improvement and expansion of village-friendly open spaces, squares, inner-village connecting paths and leisure and recreational facilities - particular attention should be paid to climate-friendly design,
    • Construction measures for the renovation, conversion or extension and expansion of older buildings that characterize the town and landscape with courtyards and green spaces, including interior work and additional expenses for the preservation of historical monuments, energy and building ecology.

    The grant per individual project amounts to up to 35% of the eligible expenditure per property, up to a maximum of EUR 30,000. The grant can be increased to EUR 41,000 for construction measures within the local area to maintain and create new workplaces close to residential areas, provided that no business development funds are used for this purpose.

    No Grants:

    You will not receive funding for projects,

    • which wholly or predominantly represent cosmetic repairs or serve building maintenance,
    • which have already been started,
    • for construction and development projects in new-build, commercial and industrial areas,
    • in cemeteries,
    • that are subject to a contribution obligation or their components that are subject to a contribution obligation.
