Apply for a change of address on the eID card

  • Service description

    If your address changes, you must also have your address changed on your eID card.

    If you have a main residence, you must go to the registration office responsible for you at your main place of residence to change the address on your eID card.

    If you do not have a main residence, you can go to the relevant registration office in the place where you currently live to change your address.

    Your address is only changed on the chip of your eID card because no address is printed on the card itself.

    • You register in person at the registration office responsible for you.
    • You present your current official registration confirmation and your valid eID card.
    • The registration authority will then change your address on your eID card free of charge.
