Service description
When you move into an apartment, you must register.
You do not need to deregister with the registration authority in whose jurisdiction your previous home was located.
Responsible office
The responsibility lies with the registration authority of the municipality or city.
Requirements
In the case of persons under the age of 16, care must be taken to ensure that they are registered by the person whose home they are moving into.

What to bring:
- Confirmation from the landlord
- For German citizens: Identity card or passport,
- For foreign citizens: Passport or identity document
- For minors: Identity document and birth certificate
What are the fees?
There are no fees to pay.
What deadlines do I have to observe?
You must register with the registration office within two weeks of moving in.
