  • Service description

    You can change your child's name if your spouse is not the child's parent and you want your child to have your married name.

  • Process flow

    You can submit the declaration of name change at any registry office. You must have it certified by either a notary or registrar. The declaration becomes effective as soon as it is received by the registry office.

    You will receive a certificate of the name change.

    The marriage register and the birth register are updated.

    The registrar's office is responsible.

  • Requirements

    • The spouses have a married name and live with the child in the same household.
    • One spouse has custody and the other is not the parent of the minor child.
    • The other parent must agree to the name change if he or she is also entitled to custody.

    • Proof of custody
    • Declaration of consent of the child, if applicable
