Service description
The purpose of the law is to protect the population from exposure to tobacco smoke and health hazards caused by tobacco smoke (secondhand smoke exposure).

Exceptions:
- in separated adjoining rooms, if the floor area and the number of seats in the adjoining rooms with smoking permission are not larger than in the other non-smoking guest rooms
- in one-room restaurants of less than 75 m², if no food or only simply prepared food is served in the restaurant for consumption on the spot as a subordinate ancillary service
- in marquees for a standing period of up to 21 days
