Service description
Through a land-use impact assessment, the competent regional planning authority determines whether large-scale projects with significant land-use implications appear to be feasible at the desired location in a manner that is compatible with land-use and environmental considerations. The land-use impact assessment concludes with an expert opinion that is not binding.
Such projects with significant spatial implications include, among others:
- Wind Farms
- Extraction of mineral resources, such as
- Coal or
- Ores
- Road and Rail Construction
- Natural Gas Transmission Pipelines
- High-voltage power lines
In this context, the state agency assesses the impacts primarily in the following areas:
- Society
- Economy
- Infrastructure
- Environment
When a regional planning authority assesses the compatibility of a potential project with regional planning, it makes this information public.
As a citizen, business, or public interest group, you may participate in an ongoing land-use impact assessment by submitting comments following the public notice. You have at least one month to do so.
