Village development in the village centres - an inter-municipal cooperation
The municipalities of Otterbach-Otterberg and Göllheim have decided to jointly make their village centres more sustainable within the framework of a LEADER project.
The aim of the project "Village development in the village centre - an inter-communal cooperation" is to revitalise the village centres while preserving the character of the characteristic village structures. The village centres are to be further developed to make them more sustainable for all phases of life.
The aim is to attract more people interested in living in the countryside and to draw their attention to the qualities of living in the village centre. At the same time, the existing structures must be adapted to current developments: Multi-generational living, senior living, accessibility (especially in public spaces), energy aspects, high-quality infrastructure (internet, development, etc.). This is only possible with suitable urban development instruments and financial support for interested parties, which are to be demonstrated by the project.
