Participating in the creation of a development plan
Service description
For example, a zoning plan specifies the following in writing for a development area:
- how the properties may be used,
- what type of construction the buildings must have,
- what the maximum height of the buildings may be.
In addition, the zoning plan includes, for example:
- A set of plans and maps showing the exact spatial layout of the area,
- Reasoning that includes, for example, a description of the decisions and considerations, as well as
- Environmental report assessing the environmental impacts of the zoning plan.
As a citizen or a business, you have the right to contact
- the creation or amendment of a zoning plan, or
- to participate in the development of a land-use plan.
By participating, you can help shape the planning process.
As a government agency or other public-interest entity, you will be asked by the competent authority or the entity conducting the proceedings to participate and submit your comments once it has been determined that you are affected.
